CURRENT STUDENTS

Every enrolled student gets a path to finish.

Our focus is helping every current student finish what they started, either by graduating with Maestro by June 30, 2027 or by continuing at a partner college with the credits they have earned. The College will remain open after the teach-out, offering seminars and other programs.

Classes continue, and academic support and student services remain fully available.

Your options

Graduate with Maestro by June 30, 2027

Graduate under accreditation. Our teach-out plan is approved by the Council on Occupational Education (COE). Regardless of the outcome of the appeal, students who complete their programs by June 30, 2027 under the COE-approved teach-out plan will graduate from an accredited institution.

A personal completion plan. We build a plan with each student based on their program, cohort, academic standing and anticipated completion date. Eligible students can take courses at an accelerated pace. We will contact you directly about your options.

What stays the same. Your instructors, academic support and student services continue throughout the teach-out, and the Maestro Pro Scholarship continues to cover full tuition under its policy.

Transfer without starting over

Columbia College. Our approved teach-out partner gives credit for all prior Maestro work, plus a 15% tuition discount.

Davenport University. Accepts all credits earned with a C or better that apply to your program, and out-of-state online students receive a 32% tuition grant.

More transfer options are being developed. The receiving institution makes the final decision on how credits apply. See our transfer of credit policy.

Good to know

Full tuition for eligible students. Every current degree student receives the Maestro Pro Scholarship, which covers 100% of tuition for as long as the student remains eligible under the scholarship policy. No current student pays tuition out of pocket or borrows to pay it.

Your records stay safe. Maestro stays open after June 30, 2027, offering seminars and other programs, and continues to provide records, transcripts, degree verification and graduate support.

Federal financial aid. Effective October 13, 2026, Maestro College voluntarily withdrew from all federal student aid programs, including the Federal Direct Loan Program. Since then, the full tuition of every eligible current degree student is covered by the College-funded Maestro Pro Scholarship, with no federal or state aid. Financial aid

If you have student loans. Loans never paid for tuition at Maestro. Before October 13, 2026, federal grants were applied first and the Maestro Pro Scholarship covered the rest; since then, the scholarship covers tuition in full. To review federal loans you took out before then, visit StudentAid.gov.

Why this is happening. Most of our students study online, and COE requires a share of enrollment to be in person. The College is appealing COE’s decision and remains accredited by COE while the appeal is pending. Regardless of the outcome of the appeal, students who complete their programs by June 30, 2027 under the COE-approved teach-out plan will graduate from an accredited institution. Read what happened.

Keeping your scholarship

Your Maestro Pro Scholarship covers your full tuition for as long as you remain eligible under the scholarship policy. To keep it:

  • Stay enrolled full-time: at least 12 quarter credits in each 10-week term.
  • Make satisfactory academic progress: meet the College's grade, credit-completion and pacing standards.
  • Stay engaged: meet the attendance and participation requirements for your program.
  • Respond to requests: sign and return documents the College asks for on time, and give accurate information. The College may ask for proof of household income, such as a recent tax return, with at least 30 days' written notice.
  • Follow the Code of Conduct.

If a requirement isn't met, the College may put your scholarship on hold, suspend it or end it. Where possible, you'll get notice and a chance to fix the issue first. Any change applies only going forward, never to terms when your scholarship was already in place. If you have exceptional circumstances, you can ask for an appeal or exception.
